Detectives in Embakasi, Nairobi County, have launched investigations of a woman’s body parts found dumped inside a polythene bag along the North Airport Road, near the airport fence.
According to the police reports, the body was found missing its head and limbs a few meters from the road, opposite a petrol station. They suspect the victim may have been killed elsewhere before her remains were dumped at the scene.
The decomposing body was discovered by the locals and alerted authorities before it was taken to City Mortuary for identification and postmortem examination.
Police have urged families of missing woman to come forward to assist in identification, as detectives investigate to establish the victim’s identity and track down those responsible.
The incident has left the residents of Embakasi shocked, urging the need for heightened security and vigilance as now there are now many incidents of people being murdered.
This comes a time Kenyan women are primarily killed in acts of femicide by intimate partners, husband or family members. Reports shows women are being murdered over domestic disputes, financial conflicts and failed relationships among many others.
