Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi on Friday expressed his delight at joining stakeholders, partners, coaches, players, legends, and fans at this year’s Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Awards Gala.

In his speech, Mudavadi highlighted the transformative impact of sports investment on the lives of Kenyan youth, emphasizing its role in job creation, economic growth, and social cohesion.

“I applaud the significant contribution that sports investment has played in transforming the lives of the youth, steadily becoming a source of livelihood, job creation, economic growth, and social cohesion,” Mudavadi stated.

He underscored the importance of sports as a unifying force and a catalyst for personal and community development.

Key highlights from the event included the announcement that Kenya, along with neighbors Uganda and Tanzania, will co-host the African Cup of Nations in 2027.

Additionally, the under-17 Harambee Starlets’ qualification for the 2024 FIFA World Cup was celebrated as a testament to Kenya’s commitment to growing quality football and enhancing the broader sports landscape.
