Content creator and wife to comedian Terence Creative, Milly Chebby, has shared a deeply personal experience about undergoing emergency surgery following a medical scare during a coastal getaway.
While enjoying a family vacation, Milly began experiencing intense abdominal pain and cramps that didn’t seem to go away. Concerned, she reached out to her gynaecologist for advice. To her surprise, the doctor asked her to take a pregnancy test—even though she was on family planning.
“I didn’t think it could be pregnancy because I was on contraception,” Milly admitted. But after taking the test, the results came back positive, and further checks revealed she was experiencing an ectopic pregnancy—a serious condition where a fertilised egg implants outside the uterus, often in the fallopian tubes.
As her pain worsened, doctors quickly recommended emergency surgery to prevent further complications. During the operation, doctors found internal bleeding and had to remove her left fallopian tube, which they described as “sick and damaged.”
“She had been bleeding for a few days,” her doctor explained. “It was an ectopic pregnancy, and we had to remove the left fallopian tube. The right one is still healthy.”
Despite the shock and emotional toll, Milly is now recovering and doing well. She shared her story to raise awareness and encourage women to seek medical help when they feel something isn’t right.
“I’m grateful for the quick medical response. It could have ended badly if I ignored the signs,” she said.
Her openness has sparked conversations online about reproductive health and the importance of listening to your body—even when you think you’re playing it safe.
