MultiChoice Kenya has launched a nationwide customer appreciation campaign dubbed Your World of More to mark 30 years of shaping the country’s television and film industry.

The campaign, which runs until September 30, 2025, celebrates three decades of storytelling, innovation, and deep engagement with Kenyan audiences.

Speaking during the anniversary event held at MultiChoice Kenya headquarters, Managing Director Nzola Miranda underscored the company’s long-standing contribution to the growth of the local creative economy.“For three decades, we have been at the heart of entertainment in this country, shaping the industry and providing a platform for African stories to thrive.

This legacy belongs to every Kenyan who has tuned in, shared in the laughter, and celebrated with us,” said Miranda.

He reiterated MultiChoice’s continued commitment to delivering premium, diverse content through its platforms—DStv, GOtv, and Showmax—while amplifying authentic African narratives.Since 2016, MultiChoice has invested over $50 million in Kenya’s film industry, working with more than 30 local production houses and employing hundreds of creatives and SMEs.

These partnerships have resulted in the production of over 100 original and exclusive local titles, further positioning Kenya as a hub for compelling storytelling.

The event brought together key stakeholders in the creative industry, including Principal Secretary for Youth Affairs, the Creative Economy and Sports, Fikirini Jacobs, who hailed MultiChoice for its role in nurturing talent.“For over 30 years, MultiChoice has played a pivotal role in empowering our creative sector—offering skills, mentorship, and real investment in talent,” said Jacobs. “As we chart the future, we are proud to deepen this partnership by bringing on board Kenya’s film legends to co-create a hands-on curriculum that will shape the storytellers of tomorrow.”

Kenya Film Commission CEO Timothy Owase also lauded MultiChoice for its steadfast support of local talent and its commitment to ethical, globally competitive storytelling.“MultiChoice has been an instrumental partner in the evolution of Kenya’s film and television sector. Their investment in quality storytelling aligns with our mandate to create a vibrant, ethical, and globally competitive film industry,” said Owase.

Since its inception in February 1995, MultiChoice has remained a driving force in delivering world-class entertainment while empowering local creatives.

The Your World of More campaign invites viewers to celebrate a rich legacy built on trust, innovation, and a deep love for African storytelling.
