Breast cancer patients in Kenya will now pay just KES 40,000 per treatment session down from KES 120,000 thanks to a groundbreaking deal between the Ministry of Health and Roche East Africa.

Launched by Health CS Hon. Aden Duale, the partnership via the Social Health Authority (SHA) will offer fully covered treatment at public, private, and faith-based facilities. No co-payments will be required.

The initiative includes expanded access to cancer medicines, healthcare worker training, and improved screening. It’s part of Kenya’s push for Universal Health Coverage and better cancer outcomes.

“This isn’t just about cost it’s about saving lives,” said CS Duale.
