Kenya and Malaysia are set to deepen their collaboration in technology and innovation as part of a broader strategy to drive digital transformation.
This follows a meeting between Kenya’s Cabinet Secretary for Information, Communication, and the Digital Economy, William Kabogo, and Malaysia’s High Commissioner to Kenya, Ruzaimi Mohammed.
During the courtesy call at the Ministry Headquarters, the two leaders discussed strengthening bilateral ties in the tech sector, focusing on investment opportunities and knowledge exchange.

“Kenya’s rapid growth in the tech industry, coupled with Malaysia’s expertise in the same field, allows for a strategic partnership that will accelerate our digital transformation agenda,” said CS Kabogo.
Kenya has established itself as a regional technology hub, with innovations such as mobile money (M-Pesa) and growing investments in AI, cloud computing, and fintech. On the other hand, Malaysia boasts a robust digital economy, driven by initiatives like Malaysia Digital Economy Blueprint and a thriving startup ecosystem.

The discussions also explored avenues for collaboration in ICT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and digital skills development.

Both countries aim to leverage their strengths to create opportunities for businesses, startups, and tech entrepreneurs.
