Alego Usonga Member of Parliament Sam Atandi has downplayed the recent alleged cases of abduction of young people perceived to be government critics.

Adding his voice to the matter, Atandi rubbished the abduction reports, saying most of them are false, politically motivated and baseless propaganda.

The lawmaker argued that, while there may be isolated genuine cases of forced disappearances, most of the abduction claims are forged to paint President William Ruto’s government in bad light.

“I am also intelligent and have been analysing some of these abduction reports. I’ve come to realise that many of them are just total propaganda. Some of these stories are not real. They are being spread to create confusion and weaken the government,” Atandi stated.

Atandi urged people spreading the abduction narrative to approach the matter with great caution.

It is worth noting that a lady identified as Naomi was reported to have been abducted, but she later came out to dismiss the claim, saying she was safe and sound.
