Tanzanian music star Juma Jux has joined thousands across Africa in mourning the passing of Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga, describing him as “a true African hero and symbol of leadership, courage, and unity.”
Taking to his Instagram, the singer expressed deep sorrow, revealing that he had the privilege of meeting Odinga and his family just weeks ago in Nairobi.
“I had the honor of meeting him and his beautiful family just a few weeks ago in Nairobi, and I witnessed humility wrapped in greatness,” he wrote.
Jux extended his heartfelt condolences to President William Ruto, Mama Ida Odinga, and the entire Odinga family, as well as to the people of Kenya, saying Africa has indeed lost one of its finest leaders.
“My heartfelt condolences go to Hon. William Ruto, the President of Kenya, to Raila Odinga’s wife, children, and family, and to the lovely people of Kenya. May his soul rest in eternal peace. Africa has indeed lost one of its finest,” he added.
The emotional tribute has touched many fans across social media, who praised Jux for his warm message and respect toward one of Africa’s most influential political figures.
