The family of National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula has been thrown into mourning following the death of his elder brother, James Mukhwana Wetang’ula.
The announcement was made by Speaker Wetang’ula, who mourned him as a retired teacher of great humility, discipline and wisdom who touched many lives.
Mukhwana was the firstborn son of Mzee Dominic Khaemba Wetang’ula and the late Mama Anna Wetang’ula.
He was the twin brother of Virginia Mulongo Sikhoya, and a loving brother to the speaker, Dorothy Watila, Mary Ongamo, Scolastica Opemo, Westlands MP Tim Wanyonyi, and Fred Wetang’ula.
"James was a devoted father, mentor, and a pillar in our community. His legacy as an educator and family man remains firmly in our hearts," said Speaker Wetang'ula.
He asked for prayers and support as they mourn Mukhwana’s passing and honour his life.
