President William Ruto has challenged young men aged 25 and above to get married and start their families.
The head of state regretted the young men’s latest tendency of hopping from one club to another, engaging in merrymaking while avoiding meaningful relationships.
Speaking during the wedding ceremony of Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi’s son, Moses Budamba Mudavadi and Qillian Ndeso Saiya, Ruto urged parents to encourage their children to get married, noting that families are the foundation of a nation.
"All men who are above the age of 25, get married. Wacha kuzunguka hapa, unatoka kwa club hii inaingia kwa club hiyo, unatoka kwa club hiyo unaenda kwa club hiyo ingine," said President Ruto.
"The foundation of a nation is the firm foundation of a family. A nation is as strong as the families we put together, and therefore, as parents, we must do whatever it takes and encourage our children to get married."
