Defending champions Githurai All Stars triumphed 2-1 over Kawasaki to successfully retain the Sakaja Super Cup at Dandora Stadium.
This men’s match mirrored last year’s final, where Githurai All Stars faced Kawasaki and emerged victorious.
The game saw an early breakthrough as Sedrin Achweya gave Kawasaki the lead in the 17th minute.
He skillfully dribbled past the Githurai defenders after controlling a cross from Hector Madegwa and scored with a low shot that beat goalkeeper Ishmael Otieno.
Edwin Ng’ang’a levelled the score for Githurai, capitalizing on a defensive error by Collins Otieno to equalize.
The match was sealed in the 82nd minute when Hasan Masoud netted the winner for Githurai, scoring from a goalmouth scramble following a corner kick, securing their second consecutive title.
Githurai All Stars were awarded Ksh3 million as the winners, while Kawasaki took home Ksh 2 million as the runners-up.

In the women’s category, Shrink Park Starlets were declared the champions after South C Queens were disqualified for fielding ineligible players in the semi-finals.
Shrink Park Starlets received Ksh1 million in prize money.
