The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) Choir delivered a show-stopping performance during the 62nd Madaraka Day celebrations held at Makima Primary School Grounds in Mwea Sub-county, Embu County.
Selected by the Presidential Events Coordination Unit (PECU) for their artistic excellence, the choir captivated both dignitaries and members of the public with a powerful mix of patriotic songs, hymns, and their signature piece, Fichua Kwa DCI.
The anthem, which promotes anonymous crime reporting through the toll-free hotline 0800 722 203, resonated strongly with the audience.
The DCI Choir has gained national recognition for blending musical talent with civic messaging, having previously performed at major national events in Taita Taveta, Uasin Gishu, Nakuru, and Kisumu Counties.
This year’s Embu celebration was graced by several dignitaries, including Embu Governor Hon. Cecily Mbarire, EGH, County Commissioner Mr. Jack Odhiambo Obuo, and County Police Commander Mr. Samwel Muthamia.
Once again, the DCI Choir demonstrated how music can serve as a bridge between law enforcement and the public, fostering unity, patriotism, and public cooperation in the fight against crime.
