President William Ruto emphasized Kenya’s enduring collaboration and friendship with the United Kingdom during talks with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer.

In a statement following their meeting, Ruto highlighted their commitment to deepening cooperation in key areas such as climate financing, renewable energy initiatives, and advocating for necessary reforms in the international financial system.

The discussions in New York also focused on several important bilateral projects, including the implementation of the Railway City project in Nairobi and extending the strategic partnership agreement between the two countries.

“Kenya and the United Kingdom have a long-standing history of collaboration and friendship. We are committed to strengthening our cooperation in climate financing, implementing renewable energy initiatives, and advocating for reforms in the international financial system,” he said.

Additionally, President Ruto and Prime Minister Starmer discussed expanding trade ties to further strengthen economic relations between Kenya and the UK.

President Ruto expressed optimism about the future of Kenya-UK relations, underscoring the shared goals of sustainability and economic development.
