Citizen TV anchor Mashirima Kapombe has lost her mother.On Thursday September 26, Mashirima confirmed the sad news. She shared her sorrow as she mourned the loss of her mother. On her social media pages Kapombe posted,
“Broken. Eternal rest grant unto mum Oh Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May she Rest in peace. Amen,”
However Kapombe didn’t reveal the cause of her mother’s demise. Her newsroom colleagues flooded her social media pages to support and comfort her as she mourns the sudden loss.
Three days ago Mashirima shared a photo of her mother and herself asserting that she was her everything.
Kenyans have taken to social media to condole with the seasoned journalist. Several people have sent their condolences and heartfelt messages to Mashirima Kapombe.
Deputy Government spokesperson Mwanaisha Chidzuga shared,
” I send my condolences to you Kapombe and your family. God is never wrong. May the Lord give you peace during this difficult time. May her soul rest in peace,”
Other notable figures who have sent in their condolence messages include, entertainer Jacky Bike, Brenda Wairimu and journalists Joyce Omondi, Lilian Muli and Alex Mwakideu.
Lilian Muli shared, “Oh no… Mashirima. I’m so sorry dear. May the Lord comfort you and your family.”
Mwende Macharia shared, “Poleni sana dada, may the Lord grant you and your family grace and comfort.”
