President William Ruto’s government has approved the dualling of the 23.5km Muthaiga-Kiambu-Ndumberi Road, which serves Muthaiga, Runda, Ridgeways, and Kiambu Town
The dualling is aimed at easing traffic witnessed during peak hours and improving movements between Nairobi and Kiambu counties.
The project, as captured in a Cabinet dispatch on Tuesday, November 11, will expand the existing two-lane highway into a dual carriageway, complete with bypasses, loops, and access roads.
Also, the new road will have non-motorised transport lanes and commuter facilities to enhance road safety and accessibility.
