Murang’a County Women Representative Betty Maina has announced on her social media that President William Ruto has donated Ksh 2 million to support the medical treatment of Kikuyu musician Kamande Kioi’s wife.
Mama Kioi, the musician’s spouse, was recently admitted to a private hospital in Nairobi West but has since recovered.
The family and well-wishers had already raised over Ksh 1.5 million toward her medical expenses, leaving a balance of Ksh 2 million.

The gesture has been welcomed by the family and the community, who described it as timely and generous.
