Afrobeats star Kizz Daniel, famous for his chart-topping hit “Buga,” has surprised fans by announcing a temporary break from recording music. The singer, whose real name is Daniel Anidugbe, shared that he wants to spend more quality time with his family, whom he admits have felt sidelined due to his busy schedule in the studio.

In an emotional message posted on social media, Kizz Daniel said he’s putting recording on hold to enjoy life and focus on his loved ones. He admitted that his family had expressed their concerns, joking that they “dissed” him for choosing the studio over spending time with them. His words reflect a personal shift, coming soon after the release of his latest EP Lemon Chase, and as fans anticipate a follow-up project titled Orange Chase.

While he’s not quitting music altogether, Kizz Daniel hinted that he’s rethinking his pace. He revealed he has more than 600 unreleased tracks in his archive and humorously said he would only consider retiring after releasing all of them. His statement shows a clear intention to find a better balance between his family life and the demands of his music career.

This decision marks a turning point for the singer, especially as it comes during the rollout of his “Uncle K” album and his international tour, which includes stops in cities like Baltimore, Houston, Atlanta, and Los Angeles.
