Embakasi East MP Babu Owino on Monday secured a legal victory in Thikai’s High Court after successfully arguing for the release of two Gen‑Z activists detained during a peaceful demonstration.

Owino, who was admitted to the Kenyan Bar in May, invoked his newly acquired legal credentials as he represented the young protesters in court.

The court granted their release on bond and ordered that further proceedings should be guided by due process.

‘Today at Thika High Court we argued the application for revision of cash bail that was set at Ksh.100,000 for the 42 innocent kenyans who were charged with Robbery with Violence,’he said.
