Grace Njoki Mulei, who disrupted a press briefing held by Health Cabinet Secretary Deborah Barasa at Afya House on January 15 and was arrested on Thursday, has been released on a Sh10,000 police cash bail.
Njoki was apprehended late Thursday night at Ladnan Hospital in Nairobi, where she was seeking medical attention, and was taken to Capitol Hill Police Station for detention.
Her lawyer, Ndegwa Njiru, along with former Governor Mike Sonko and other legal representatives, stated that police were unclear about the charges they intended to press against her.

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) had previously claimed that Njoki was tracked down to Hombe Road, off Juja Road, where she was arrested.

The DCI’s post on social media sparked significant public outrage.
Njoki, a 61-year-old nurse, was one of the individuals who visited the Ministry of Health offices on January 15 to protest the Social Health Authority’s (SHA) poor performance.
