Water Cabinet Secretary Eric Mugaa says the government is fast-tracking water and sanitation projects across Kenya’s Northern region to improve access to clean and safe water for residents.
The discussions focused on accelerating implementation of key water and sanitation projects covering Garissa, Wajir, Mandera, Isiolo, Samburu, and Marsabit counties.
“The discussions centred on fast-tracking the implementation of various water and sanitation projects in the Northern region, covering Garissa, Wajir, Mandera, Isiolo, Samburu, and Marsabit counties,” he said.
According to the CS, the projects are aimed at ensuring residents in the arid and semi-arid regions have reliable access to clean water and dignified sanitation services.
He adds that the initiatives form part of the government’s broader agenda to improve living standards and strengthen sustainable water supply systems across the country.
