In a swift and coordinated security operation, officers from the National Police Service successfully recovered stolen livestock following a report of theft by armed bandits in the Kabache area of Mutuati Sub-County.

Acting on the report, law enforcement units immediately mobilized and pursued the suspects.

The operation culminated in the Kamanga area of Samburu East Sub-County, where officers intercepted and overpowered the armed bandits.

A total of 15 cows and 30 goats were recovered during the operation. The livestock is currently being held securely and will be handed back to their rightful owners after official verification procedures.

The National Police Service has commended the responding security team for their rapid and decisive action. In a statement, the Service also expressed its appreciation to members of the public for their vigilance and continued cooperation in the fight against livestock theft and other acts of banditry.

Authorities reaffirm their commitment to maintaining security and protecting livelihoods in the region, urging communities to promptly report suspicious activities.
