The Ministry of Health, through the State Department for Public Health and Professional Standards, today held a consultative meeting with partners under the Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD) Alliance to boost coordination in tobacco control efforts.
The meeting, chaired by Principal Secretary Mary Muthoni, focused on developing a partnership coordination framework to guide joint planning, implementation, and accountability.
PS Muthoni reaffirmed the government’s commitment to a smoke-free Kenya, saying, “We are committed to working with all partners to ensure a coordinated, strategic, and results-driven approach that safeguards the health of our people, especially the youth.”
The proposed framework aims to strengthen collaboration, improve resource use, and accelerate progress toward a healthier nation.
