Nominated MCA Mark Wainaina is dead.
Wainaina breathed his last on Wednesday, November 13, while receiving treatment.
He had been diagnosed with a severe pulmonary complication that led to the failure of his lungs.
Prior to his death, he was undergoing dialysis after his kidney was affected by the complication too.
Wainaina was nominated by the ruling United Democratic Alliance (UDA) to represent people with disabilities in the Murang’a County Assembly.
Earlier in the day, Murang’a governor Irungu Kang’ata had joined the call for financial help from Kenyans to pay his medical bills.
The Murang’a County Assembly Caucus had also organised a fundraiser to meet Wainaina’s medical bills.
