The ruling United Democratic Alliance (UDA) has officially appointed Deputy President Kithure Kindiki as the Deputy Party Leader.
In a communiqué by the UDA National Executive Committee (NEC) on Monday, November 11, Kindiki’s appointment is effective immediately.
Kindiki will take over from the former deputy president Rigathi Gachagua, who was impeached a few weeks ago over, among other charges, gross misconduct.
As per the ruling party’s constitution, the person who holds the Deputy President position automatically assumes the position of the Deputy Party Leader.
