US-based Kenyan nurse and content creator Nurse Judy has revealed that she earned about $ 20,000 (Ksh 2.6 million) in two weeks through a private concierge nursing services.
She stated that she moved immediately moved the funds to her savings and financial planning accounts, emphasizing pay transparency and high-paying opportunities.
She noted rather than keeping large sums in her checking account, she transferred the money into a high-yield savings account. Her financial discipline has allowed her to allocate funds towards bills, investments and long-term projects.
“I made about 20k in 2 weeks with concierge nursing last 2 weeks, I transferred to my high yield savings account. Then we had a meeting with my financial advisor last week,” Judy said.
Judy stated she consults her financial advisor to ensure the money is distributed according to her financial plans. She highlighted high earning potential in selected U.S. regions to encourage fellow healthcare workers to consider diaspora opportunities.
At the same time, Nurse Judy revealed that she is considering surrogacy in Kenya to have a third child so as to expand her family.
She mentioned last year she tried to conceive and even hoped for twins, but the journey did not unfold as she wished.
“I really want a 3rd baby. I always wanted 4 babies. Last year I tried conceiving and I was actually hoping for twins. I’m considering surrogacy,” she said in a statement.
Judy said that surrogacy in Kenya is quite affordable than America is expensive.
“I guess I will explore this option in Kenya because I know if I try it in America its gonna be hella expensive,” Judy said.
Judy’s choice contrasts healthcare affordability in Kenya and the U.S. with the challenges of modern healthcare and the hope of finding both practical and meaningful treatment.
