Hollywood actor Terrence Howard has suggested he could pursue the presidency of the United States, saying someone must step forward if current political leaders are unwilling to make a difference.
“Yes. I’m looking forward to becoming president. If they’re not going to make a difference, somebody’s got to do something,” Terrence said.
Terrence also shared an idea he would like to pursue if he entered the political arena, identifying reparations for descendants of enslaved people as one of his priorities.
Terrence said he’d love to sit down with President Donald Trump to discuss the lasting impact of slavery … arguing descendants of slaves should be exempt from federal taxes for the next 400 years.
The actor is best known for portraying Lucious Lyon in the television drama “Empire.”
His ambitions come after decades in the entertainment industry, where he has built a career as an actor, musician and producer.
The American public is currently debating on whom to vote for in the midterms; two years from now Americans will be going to the polls once more to vote on who they want to be the next president.
With President Trump is prohibited from running due to 22nd Amendment, Howard has suggested he could be a surprise inclusion on the ballot paper.
Though Trump has long stated he would like to run for a third term, despite the fact he’s not allowed to do so.
JD Vance and Marco Rubio are seen as the main favorites to be the Republican candidates in 2028, while questions remain as to whether Kamala Harris will run again for the Democrats.
