Booker Omole, the General Secretary of the Communist Party Marxist (CPM) Kenya, has confirmed he is safe and in good spirits following an alleged foiled assassination attempt.

The attack, described by Omole as a “cowardly act of desperation,” has sparked national and international attention. In a statement shared today, Omole thanked supporters for their solidarity, emphasizing that the attempt on his life only reinforces his resolve to fight for justice, equality, and a free Kenya.

“No force can silence the collective will of the people,” he stated.

Officers from the Serious Crimes Unit have since launched an investigation, visiting Omole’s residence to begin their inquiries. Omole called on the government to ensure a transparent and professional investigation, urging the state to act swiftly to identify and prosecute those behind the incident.

“This is a critical opportunity for the state to absolve itself of any suspicion by demonstrating accountability and protecting the lives of all citizens,” he said.

Addressing members of the CPM and other progressive groups, Omole encouraged unity and vigilance in the wake of the attack.

“Such attempts only prove the fear our enemies feel in the face of our growing strength,” he remarked, reaffirming his commitment to socialism and justice.

The foiled attack has raised concerns about political tensions and security challenges in Kenya. Observers are watching closely as investigations unfold.
