The national women’s football team,Harambee Starlets, delivered a dominant 5-0 victory over Morocco in their second international friendly at the Mohammed VI Football Complex in Rabat on Tuesday afternoon.
Fasila Odhiambo opened the scoring for the Starlets in the 16th minute, followed by Mwanalima Dogo, who continued her impressive form with a goal in the 36th minute.
Dogo then scored again shortly after the break to complete her brace.
Violet Nanjala added a fourth goal in the 53rd minute, and substitute Elizabeth Mideva sealed the win with a fifth goal in the 89th minute, driving the final nail into Morocco’s hopes.
Coach Beldine Odemba’s team had previously fought to a 2-2 draw with Morocco on Friday, coming from a 2-0 deficit with Dogo’s brace.
The Starlets’ trip to Morocco follows their participation in the Pink Ladies Cup in Turkey just over a month ago, where they secured one win—4-1 against the Philippines—along with losses to Russia (4-0) and Chinese Taipei (1-0).
