Former Kesses MP Swarup Mishra has thanked President William Ruto after being appointed as the chairperson of the Board of Directors for Kenya Biovax Institute Limited.
In a statement, Mishra said his appointment is a testament to President Ruto’s commitment to ensuring a healthier, more self-reliant Kenya through homegrown innovations and solutions.
He pledged to work with the board, stakeholders, and partners to transform Kenya Biovax Institute into a world-class organization capable of delivering high-quality vaccines and biomedical products to serve Kenya and beyond.
Mishra, while pledging his absolute loyalty to Ruto, said he will work with the Kenya Kwanza administration to ensure that Kenya Biovax Institute contributes significantly to the country’s immunization agenda.

Guided by your leadership, I will ensure that Kenya Biovax Institute contributes significantly to the country's immunization agenda, enhancing preventive and curative healthcare, and achieving self-sufficiency in the manufacturing of pharmaceuticals and medical disposables. These efforts will fortify our resilience against future pandemics and contribute significantly to the fulfillment of the Universal Health Coverage agenda," said Mishra.
