On May 8, 2025, Noel Naliaka Ndinyo, a suspect wanted for her alleged involvement in the distribution of child pornography, was arraigned at the Shanzu Law Court in Mombasa.

Naliaka, a 31-year-old Kenyan, is accused of distributing explicit child sexual material through online platforms following an international investigation led by the National Centre for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).

The investigation began in early 2025 when NCMEC flagged a Snapchat account linked to Naliaka’s email address.

The account was reportedly used to share illegal child pornography, prompting the agency to alert Kenyan authorities. In response, detectives from the Anti-Human Trafficking and Child Protection Unit (AHTCPU) in Mombasa launched a targeted operation to apprehend her.

On May 7, 2025, a team of detectives traced Naliaka to a residential hideout in Nyali Sub-County, Mombasa. She was arrested at around 3:00 PM following extensive surveillance.

At the time of the arrest, she was found in possession of multiple devices containing illicit material, further substantiating the investigation’s findings. The operation was executed precisely, with no incidents of violence.

Naliaka was formally charged with multiple offenses under Section 22(3)(c) of the Children’s Act No. 29 of 2022, specifically relating to online child exploitation.

She is accused of engaging in the production, possession, and distribution of child pornography—crimes that carry severe legal penalties.

During her court appearance, Naliaka pleaded not guilty to the charges. The prosecution strongly opposed her release on bond, citing the seriousness of the offenses and the potential risk of flight.

“This is not just a serious offense—it is a grave violation of children’s rights,” said the prosecuting counsel. “We strongly oppose bond, given the flight risk and the nature of the crime.”

The court has scheduled a ruling on her bond terms for May 9, 2025.
