Nominated Senator Gloria Orwoba.

The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) disciplinary committee has summoned Nominated Senator Gloria Owoba for conduct deemed to violate the party’s Code of Conduct.

In a statement signed by Committee Chair Charles Njenga, UDA cited three specific instances of misconduct: her attendance at the welcoming events for Fred Matiang’i at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and Gusii Stadium, and an interview on April 22, 2025, with Spice FM in which she criticized the labour mobility program, a key initiative of President William Ruto’s administration.

UDA accused Owoba of showing allegiance to another political movement and engaging in behavior considered disloyal and unbecoming of a UDA member, noting that the party had nominated her to the Senate.

Owoba has been called to appear before the disciplinary committee on Friday, May 16, at 9:00 a.m. at Hustler Plaza’s Fourth Floor Board Room to explain her actions and argue against disciplinary measures.

The committee warned that if found liable, her case will be referred to the National Executive Committee for further action, including possible sanctions.
