President William Ruto is expected to deliver a major national address on Tuesday in which he will outline key milestones achieved under his administration’s broad-based governance framework.
Speaking in Siaya, the President urged Kenyans to follow the address, saying it will provide a detailed account of the progress his government has made through collaboration with leaders drawn from different political formations.
According to the President, the broad-based approach has helped stabilise the country’s political environment while allowing the government to push forward development initiatives across multiple sectors.
The framework emerged after efforts to ease political tensions and encourage cooperation among leaders from across the political divide.
The arrangement has seen figures from the ruling coalition and sections of the opposition work together on national policy and development programmes.
The development followed political engagements between the government and opposition leaders, including Raila Odinga, which were aimed at promoting national dialogue and reducing political confrontation.
During Tuesday’s address, the President is expected to highlight progress in several areas, including economic reforms, infrastructure expansion, and programmes designed to create opportunities for young people and small businesses.
The government has also pointed to ongoing investments in agriculture, healthcare and education as part of its wider economic transformation agenda.
