President William Ruto has reaffirmed Kenya’s commitment to strengthening trade and economic cooperation with Kazakhstan during the Kazakhstan-Kenya Business Forum held at the Astana International Financial Centre.
Speaking alongside Kazakhstan President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in Astana, President Ruto said Kenya is keen on deepening commercial relations and expanding investment opportunities between the two countries for their mutual prosperity.
The Head of State announced plans to pursue the establishment of direct flights between Nairobi and Astana to ease travel, facilitate trade, and enhance people-to-people connections.
Ruto also invited Kazakhstan to leverage Kenya’s strategic infrastructure, particularly the Port of Mombasa and the Lamu Port, as vital gateways for entry and trans-shipment into the East and Central African markets.
The President emphasized that stronger business and investment partnerships would unlock new opportunities in trade, logistics, transport, and regional connectivity between Kenya and Kazakhstan.
The forum brought together government officials, investors, and business leaders from both nations to explore avenues for enhanced economic collaboration.
