President William Ruto on Monday unveiled a series of significant development projects in Tana River County aimed at boosting local economic opportunities and improving infrastructure.
During his visit, President Ruto laid the foundation stone for the construction of the Bangale Fresh Produce Market.
This new market is expected to provide a supportive business environment for local traders, particularly small-scale vendors like “Mama Mboga,” and create wealth and economic opportunities for hundreds of young people in the county.
“The four fresh produce markets that we are constructing in Tana River will not only offer Mama Mboga a friendly business environment but also enable them to generate wealth and broaden economic opportunities for hundreds of the youth in the County.” he said.

In addition to the market project, President Ruto commissioned the Bangale Water Project, which aims to improve water accessibility and contribute to the overall well-being of the community.
He also inaugurated the new ID registration office in Kone, a move designed to enhance local administrative services and streamline the identification process for residents.
