KCB RFC will return to the pitch this weekend for the eagerly awaited 27th edition of the Safari 7s, set to take place from October 9 to 12 at Nyayo National Stadium in Nairobi County.

Fresh off their triumphant campaign in the National Sevens Circuit, the Bankers head into the tournament as one of the top contenders.

The 2025 Safari 7s has drawn 20 teams—12 men’s and eight women’s sides—from across the region and beyond, promising a weekend of thrilling rugby action.

Defending champions Shujaa will be looking to retain their title on home soil but face stiff competition from regional rivals Uganda and Zimbabwe.

Other notable challengers include Zambia, Réunion, Walukuba Barbarians (Uganda), alongside international invitational sides such as Shogun Rugby, French Renegades, UK Select, and Apache Rugby.

KCB RFC will be led by Coach Jacob Ojee, who steps in for Andrew Amonde—currently on national duty with Shujaa. Ojee expressed confidence in his squad’s form and preparation, stating they are ready to make a strong impression at the tournament.
