President William Ruto has reaffirmed the enduring diplomatic relations between Kenya and Ghana, describing the partnership as “strong, cordial and dynamic.”

Speaking at State House, Nairobi, during a farewell meeting with Ghana’s High Commissioner to Kenya, Damptey Bediako Asare, President Ruto noted that the two nations’ ties date back to the pre-independence era and were shaped by the founding fathers of both countries.

“Our relations have grown steadily over the years, strengthened by five State Visits on both sides, enhanced people-to-people connections, and the expanding air links through Kenya Airways, which has advanced plans to make Accra its hub in West Africa,” President Ruto said.

The Head of State highlighted cooperation in key sectors including trade and investment, tourism, education, and science and technology.

These partnerships, he said, are supported by various memoranda of understanding signed between the two nations.

President Ruto commended High Commissioner Asare for his service in Nairobi and wished him success in his next national assignment.
