Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has expressed his satisfaction with President William Ruto’s new Cabinet to be if approved by the National Assembly.
On Wednesday, July 24, Ruto unveiled his remaining Cabinet nominees, which he incorporated members from the opposition; Hassan Joho, Wycliffe Oparanya, John Mbadi and Opiyo Wandayi.
Speaking in Laikipia on Friday, July 26, Gachagua expressed his approval of all the nominees, asking Kenyans to embrace the new changes in government.
According to Gachagua, the head of state’s decision to nominate new Cabinet secretaries after an overhaul is for the benefit of all Kenyans.
The second in command also called out some quarters, including political analysts and some media outlets, who have been critising the head of state following the nominations
“I have seen many people, all sorts of analysts, newspaper writers and commentators commenting about the gains and losses, which regions benefitted and which did not, who is strong and who is not.
“I think the whole thing is a win for the people of Kenya,” said Gachagua.
As TUKIO.co.ke earlier reported, the vetting sessions for the Cabinet nominees will be held at the Mini-Chamber, County Hall, Parliament Buildings, starting from 8 a.m.
