Kenyan athletes have proudly made Kenya shine at the World Athletics U20 Championships in Oregon, USA, delivering performances that have captured both national pride and medals.
In the men’s 5,000m, Kenya secured a stunning one-two finish, with Frankline Kibet storming to victory winning gold medal, clocking 13:28.27, claiming him his first global track title.

Second behind him was Nehemiah Kipngeno, who clocked in at 13:30.09, taking the silver medal. Together, they delivered a remarkable Kenyan sweep of the top two positions, in the long-distance running.
On the other hand, Kenyan women athletes did not hesitate to shine at Oregon; Joyline Chepkemoi winning bronze medal in the women’s 5,000m, clocking in at 15:09.08.
Their determination and resilience have proved Kenya’s presence felt in both in men’s and women’s competitions, as Creative Economy, Youth Affairs and Sports Cabinet Secretary Salim Mvurya congratulated them for representing the spirit of Kenya in athletics and flying the Kenyan flag high.
