Real Madrid have reportedly made the decision to offload forward Vinícius Júnior following his recent outburst during El Clásico against Barcelona.

Tensions between the Brazilian star and head coach Xabi Alonso have reportedly reached breaking point, with the club’s patience wearing thin after a string of controversies.

According to reports, Madrid plan to sanction Vinícius’ departure in the summer of 2026.

The situation escalated after Real Madrid’s 2–1 victory over Barcelona in late October, when Vinícius reacted angrily to being substituted by Alonso.

His emotional protest was met with strong disapproval from the club’s hierarchy, who demanded both a public and private apology to reinforce their stance on discipline.

Once considered one of president Florentino Pérez’s most protected players, Vinícius now appears to have lost that privilege. Sources suggest Pérez, long known for defending his stars, has taken a firmer line, emphasizing that no player is bigger than Real Madrid.

The final straw reportedly came during Madrid’s 4–0 win over Valencia, when the 25-year-old ignored team orders and insisted on taking a penalty assigned to Kylian Mbappé, only to miss it.

While Madrid are said to have decided on his eventual sale, they still intend to extend his contract in the short term to preserve his market value.

The temporary renewal is seen as a strategic safeguard, ensuring the club can command a transfer fee in the region of €150 million when Vinícius is eventually put on the market.
