Veteran performer and media personality Rapcha Sayantist came out gunning for Khaligraph Jones.

In a stinging comment that has since gone viral, Rapcha slammed Khaligraph for being “fake” in just about everything that he does from his fashion to his accent, and even his “Kayole” street mannerisms.

“Khaligraph Jones is a fake! He is a fake from dressing, accent and Kayole thing,” Rapcha made the statement boldly, sparking hot online arguments among fans.

The comments have split social media down the middle. Fans of Khaligraph argue that the award-winning rapper has taken Kenyan hip-hop to the globe, earning international recognition and building a brand that inspires upcoming artists. Yet some fans believe Rapcha has a point questioning whether Khaligraph’s Americanized accent and lavish lifestyle still reflect the authentic streets he likes to rap about.

This is not the first time Khaligraph has been criticized over his personality. For years, debates have brewed on whether his art is a true reflection of Kenyan hip-hop culture or a commercialized version to fit into the entertainment tastes.
