Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga has expressed his sorrow following the death of Dr. Francis Ngaru, husband of former East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) MP Mumbi Ngaru.
“Mama Ida and I are deeply saddened by the loss of Dr. Francis Ngaru, the beloved husband of our longtime friend and comrade, Hon. Mumbi Ngaru,” said Raila in his tribute.
He recalled his personal connection with the late Dr. Ngaru, noting they first met while studying in Germany and maintained a close friendship over the years.
“He was a true patriot who served Kenya with commitment across different sectors,” Raila added. “To the Ngaru family, relatives, and friends, we extend our heartfelt condolences.”
Mumbi Ngaru, a longtime ally of Raila Odinga, also previously served as the Mayor of Thika Municipal Council.
