A woman was arrested with 294 grams of cocaine hidden in her private parts during a security operation targeting drug traffickers along the Moyale-Nairobi route.
Jane Njeri Muigai, 28, was traveling aboard a Nairobi-bound bus when it was stopped at a multi-agency roadblock.
According to officers, her nervous demeanor raised suspicions, prompting female law enforcers to conduct a more thorough search.
The search confirmed their fears when the narcotics were found concealed internally. Muigai was immediately arrested and booked at Moyale Police Station. Anti-narcotics officers have since taken over the case for further investigation and prosecution.
Authorities say the arrest is part of a sustained crackdown on drug smuggling networks operating along Kenya’s northern corridor.
