President William Ruto has reiterated the government’s commitment to fostering national unity and creating an environment conducive to economic prosperity, regardless of political affiliations.

During a development tour in Rongo, Migori County, President Ruto inspected the ongoing construction of the Riosir Market, a modern facility expected to accommodate over 300 traders upon completion.

The project, he noted, is part of the government’s broader plan to empower small-scale traders and boost local economies.

Addressing residents and traders in Rongo Town, President Ruto emphasized the government’s renewed focus on revitalizing sugarcane farming in the region.

He assured locals of comprehensive reforms aimed at transforming the sector into a profitable venture for farmers and investors alike.

In addition to the economic agenda, the President also commissioned the newly built St Paul’s Rongo Mixed Day Secondary School, underscoring the government’s commitment to expanding access to quality education across the country.

“We are laying the foundation for a united, prosperous nation where every Kenyan has the opportunity to thrive,” President Ruto stated.
