During a raid in the Kaaga area of Imenti North Sub-county, police in Meru County arrested a suspect and impounded bhang worth close to Sh200,000.
Upon receiving the information, the police went to the scene, they found the house of the suspect and there they seized the drugs and a machine that was used to roll the drug in small packets for sale, these are the words of Imenti North Sub-county Police Commander Ambrose Kyalo who was confirming the event.
Kyalo acknowledged the good work that the residents did by providing information to the police, noting that community intelligence will always be very important in the war against drug trafficking in entire the region.
Besides, he charged the people who are involved in the illegal trade that the police have started to tighten the noose on them and thus, operations will go on till the drug trade is totally wiped out from the area.
The man who was arrested is now in police custody and after the investigations, he will be brought before the court.
