This victory marked Chebet’s return to competition following her triumph in the 2024 Diamond League Trophy for the women’s 5000m in Brussels last September.
It was also her first cross-country race since she successfully defended her title at the World Cross Country Championships in Belgrade, Serbia, where she claimed gold in the women’s 10km race with a time of 31:05.
Chebet continues to dominate both on the track and in cross-country events, further solidifying her status as one of the world’s top long-distance runners.
