Raila Odinga’s elder brother, Oburu Odinga, has said the new brokered working relationship between President William Ruto and Gideon Moi is not a threat to the existing broad-based government formed by the UDA-ODM pact.
In fact, speaking on Saturday, Oburu said Moi’s KANU has built a good reputation over the years, making it a perfect addition to the broad-based government.
The Siaya Senator said ODM is willing to work with other like-minded political parties as they champion the unity of the country and development.
"Let everybody come in, and we are not threatened by anyone coming in. This is, in fact, a plus for all of us. I would like to encourage Gideon Moi to join the broad-based government, because he is our friend and we have worked with him as well as his father very harmoniously," said Oburu.
The lawmaker further encouraged Kenyans to register as voters, decrying the low registration turnout.
"We are preparing well for the elections, but what I don't like is that the registration of voters is very low, and I would like to encourage our people to register because this is the only way we can change leadership and create a quality government, so I would like my fellow Gen-Zs to come out and register," he added.
