The Public Service Commission (PSC) has shortlisted nine candidates for the Vice-Chairperson position, advancing them to the interview stage in a highly competitive selection process.

This recruitment effort comes as part of a broader initiative to fill crucial leadership roles within the PSC, which also includes seven commissioner slots.

The PSC Selection Panel, chaired by Arthur Osiya, revealed that a total of 142 applications were received for the Vice-Chair role, while 848 individuals applied for commissioner positions.

Out of these, 57 candidates have been shortlisted for the seven commissioner roles.

The shortlisted candidates for the Vice-Chairperson position include Nelly Peris Ashubwe, Stella Wawuda Tayo, Kimonye Mary Wanjira, Anne Maria Chepkosgei Rono Ngetich, Dr. Fauzia Yusuf Shani, Dr. Jane Musangi Mutua, Prof. David Gichoya, Dr. Bahati Kizindaro, and Dr. Kennedy Ochieng Olung’o.

Public participation is encouraged, with members of the public invited to submit their views on the shortlisted candidates’ suitability until Monday, November 18, 2024.

The interviews will begin on November 18 and run through November 27, providing the panel time to assess candidates’ qualifications and suitability.

This recruitment drive highlights the government’s commitment to transparency and public involvement in filling key positions in public service.
