Churchill show Comedian Jasper Murume has confirmed that he dated the late comedienne Tabitha Gatwiri on Monday, 11/11/2024 during Tabitha’s memorial service at Blue Springs Hotel, Thika. Jasper eulogized the mourners who came to give their last respects to the comedienne highlighting that her death felt like a nightmare which he hoped he could run away from.
“Nafeel nikama… ushawahi amka alafu upate ulikuwa unaota ndoto mbaya unaanza kusema shindwe kwa sababu Gatwiri ameamua kutuachanisha (I feel as if… have you ever had a scenario where you wake up from having a bad dream and you quickly start rebuking the happenings of that dream because you don’t want them to come true.. because Gatwiri has decided to leave us).
We had so many plans, we were planning to work on so many things together,” Jasper said.
Jasper revealed that he met the late Gatwiri in 2018 and confirmed after dating for a while, the duo went on an amicable seperation. He claimed that at the time of breaking up, they had already gone on seperate ways and were just business partners. He stated, “She was my girlfriend. But I’m now married with a child. After the breakup, it was never the same again, but we continued working together as professionals.
We had a strict working relationship, and I had set boundaries that you wouldn’t want your ex to cross. The love-hate relationship was there, but we were great colleagues,”
Jasper sent his condolences to Gatwiri’s family and revealed that he has been quite disoriented upon receiving the news of her demise.
