Embakasi North MP James Gakuya has expressed his dissatisfaction with President William Ruto’s failure to reprimand Majority Leader Kimani Ichung’wah after the latter insulted Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua while standing next to the President.
Gakuya commented while he accompanied deputy president Rigathi Gachagua on his tour to Wakulima market.
“Kimani Ichung’wah insults DP Gachagua while he is standing next to the President, and the President does not reprimand him,” Gakuya stated during a public address.
He further remarked, “We want to tell Ruto that if he is tired of votes from Mt. Kenya because he has found a new bride, he should plan himself with that new bride and leave us alone.”

Gakuya’s remarks come in the wake of rising political friction and suggest a rift within the Kenya Kwanza administration.
Deputy President Gachagua also used opportunity to address the impeachment rumours.
“They are plotting to impeach me, but I won’t be intimidated,” Gachagua stated.
He emphasized that attempts to undermine him will not deter his focus on the interests of the people.
Gachagua also criticized Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja, urging him to engage more constructively with the public rather than resorting to “low politics.”
