Former Public Service Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria has challenged former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua to publicly swear before a PCEA church leader that he has not entered into a political deal with President William Ruto.
Kuria, in a social media post on Saturday, called on Gachagua to seek an appointment with the Moderator of the Presbyterian Church of East Africa (PCEA), accompanied by his wife, Rev. Dorcas Gachagua.
He challenged Gachagua to hold a Bible before cameras and declare that he had not made any deal with Ruto.
“Today, I challenge Rigathi Gachagua to seek an appointment with the Moderator of the PCEA Church and go to him accompanied by Rev. Dorcas Rigathi and lift the Bible infront of the cameras and say the following words,” statement reads.
Kuria further challenged the former Deputy President to swear that he would not enter into any political agreement with Ruto before August 10, 2027, when Kenya is scheduled to hold its next General Election.
He also challenged Gachagua to invoke divine punishment should the declaration be untrue.
The remarks come amid heightened political activity as leaders and parties position themselves ahead of the 2027 elections, with alliances and possible political partnerships increasingly becoming a subject of public debate.
Kuria ended his challenge by telling Gachagua: “Over to you my brother. I am waiting.”
